Shaking up the Cocktail Market
Lancashire based supplier of branded treats, Eat My Logo, launched their cocktail drinks toppers last week, and has seen an order for over 15,000 units secured by their sales team within days of promotions beginning.
This is just one recent success for the business, which following COVID has bounced back to a record year so far. The firm is on track for their highest turnover trading period and has been able to cope with high demand by investing in equipment and people.
The firm predominantly manufacturers bespoke branded cakes and biscuits for UK-based brands, and onward selling distributors – however observed a major demand for such drink decorations in its research of the hospitality market.
Business development manager Daniel Clarke commented “We attended a hospitality related show earlier in the year and had some fantastic interest in our ability to print onto drinks toppers. It gave us the confidence to invest in the equipment to produce these at scale, and we brought these into the product range a few weeks ago.
We expected these to be popular, but an order of this volume within days of launch was a lovely surprise for us”.
One of the businesses first orders for the new product equated to 15,000 of their wafer card toppers, which can be used on drinks, and even as a cupcake or dessert decoration. The product will be sent out to sites around the UK as a decorative addition to drinks for guests.
Director Andy Poar commented on the businesses hopes to sell these to businesses of all sizes, noting “major demand has been seen so far from hospitality brands, but we also see interest directly from businesses unrelated to food and drink. We’ve had orders and enquiries from companies of all sectors, looking to use drinks toppers to enhance their upcoming events and celebrations”.
